The chain option, which in this format is a compliment rather than an insult.

Structured, which is the point

Thirty-minute sessions, roughly twenty animals, staff managing the room, entry around ten euros with drinks bought separately. The Ekkamai capybaras are Baba, Judy and Ruby. It is the most systematised capybara operation in Bangkok and the reviews reflect a business that has done this a lot.

A local roundup ranked the two branches second and third of the city's seven, behind Little Zoo Garden but ahead of everything else, describing the short-session format as organised rather than rushed.

What visitors actually say

Pulled from Google Maps, trimmed, and left alone otherwise — including the complaints. We do not take the ratings as gospel and neither should you. That figure is the Ekkamai branch. Silom runs 4.3 across a separate 734 reviews.

  • The capybaras—Baba, Judy, and Ruby—are huge, gentle, and adorable.

Two branches, and the islands

Ekkamai sits on Sukhumvit 61 inside UNION SPACE on the second floor. Silom is on Silom 26 Alley, which is the more central of the two if you are staying downtown. Both close at 21:00 — no other capybara venue in Bangkok stays open that late.

The same brand also reportedly runs outposts on Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, which would make it the only capybara operation in this directory with a beach-island footprint. We have not verified those two.

Good to know

  • Two Bangkok branches — Ekkamai and Silom. Silom is the central one.
  • Open until 21:00. The only evening capybara option in the city.
  • Thirty-minute sessions rather than open-ended time, unlike Little Zoo Garden.
  • Reported outposts on Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, unverified.

FAQ

Which Bangkok branch should I go to?
Silom if you are staying downtown, Ekkamai if you are out on Sukhumvit. Both rate 4.3 and run the same 30-minute format.
How does it compare to Little Zoo Garden?
More structured and later opening, but timed. Little Zoo Garden is cheaper and unlimited but the space is smaller and the reviews say so.
Are there really branches on the islands?
Reported on Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, but we have not confirmed either. Treat them as a lead, not a plan.
